Pop culture reference
I've been mentioned on xkcd.

Apparently it isn't obvious that there is no such person as 'Elaine Roberts', because people keep asking me about 'her'.

Is that how you can tell you have 'made it' as an internet legend? A mention on XKCD? I mean, because it was in question up until then.

The sum total of my post was that it said it was a 'pop culture reference'. Some reading comprehension would be appreciated.

Frankly, I wish I (or my software) were mentioned on xkcd.

Though honestly, I wish you got a better mention. Your software is yours; having its main ideas attributed to a fictional character is... irksome.

Then again, I'd quite like that kind of irksomeness in my life.

However the only others to ever be mentioned by name on xkcd (from my recollection, anyway) are esr (king of the ass-pies), rms (king of fail), and doctorow (who is actually leading the pack at only being a total prick).

Dunno, I'd personally take issue with being appropriated by the geek community at large...

Oh wait, I just caught up on the latest series, and it seems there are worthy comrades in the ranks of xkcd cameos now. I stand corrected.
