Bram explains unix time

Here's me explaining unix time. A thought on appearing on TV - if somebody puts a video camera on you, it's best to babble on about all your thoughts on a matter without concern for time, because they're going to edit it down later.

booger_dawson: hahaah

That was funny, "I'm losing credibility fasttt!" and then the camera goes to Bram and your like give me that fucking microphone i'll explain it to you. "Well, you see earthlings happen to have five fingers on each hand. As a result of which historically we counted in base 10" hahah that was classic man!

How was that meet up? Was it fun?

Peace

Jan. 1 doesn't seem like an entirely arbitrary date in the 1970s...

"Print the date and time represented by seconds, where seconds is
the number of seconds since the Epoch (00:00:00 UTC, January 1,
1970; see time(3)), and can be specified in decimal, octal, or
hex."

I'd actually forgotten that it was Jan. 1, 1970. The exact start had slipped my mind because it is, you know, arbitrary.
